Owners Steven Gregory and Chris Dill

GD&C are Painting & Remodeling Specialists. Steve Gregory and Chris Dill founded GD&C as high school classmates. They chose to work for friends and relatives to pay for their college educations and build a business. Post-graduation they now have more than a 40 year partnership. Steve Gregory was born and raised in Seattle and has lived in Edmonds for 30 years. Chris Dill was born in Bellevue and raised in Clyde Hill. He has lived in the Duvall area for more than 25 years. They provide quality painting and remodeling services for the Greater Seattle and Eastside areas in King and Snohomish Counties.

How long has GD&C been in business and are we licensed?

Gregory, Dill & company has more than 40 years of experience as a licensed business in the state of Washington. GD&C became a licensed specialty contractor in 1983 specializing in residential and commercial painting. In 1991 GD&C upgraded to a general contractor license and continues to grow into a wide variety of projects. Our scope of work includes color consultation, interior and exterior painting, decorative painting, and full service residential construction which include additions, remodels and construction repair services.

What kinds of screening do we use when we hire?

GD&C looks for quality of character in their rigorous employment screening. We expect every employee to uphold our values of conduct, standards of craftsmanship and most importantly uphold our mission statement. GD&C uses Homeland Security’s E-Verify system. We require background checks and drug testing on every new hired employee. GD&C builds an environment that promotes long term relationships with our employees. They are valuable partners in our mission.

On every paint project photo, you will find clean cut lines, and beautiful finishes. Our carpentry photos display precision craftsmanship completed with excellence. It is the GD&C way. Have we received any recognition?

GD&C was featured in a panel of home improvement experts in the April 2002 issue of the Seattle Magazine. The summer issue of House Beautiful in 2001 featured a house that was painted by our paint professionals.

What types of materials do we use?

GD&C always uses appropriate products for each job. For our professional paint projects we prefer quality paint from name brand stores like Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, and Miller Paint Co. For our construction projects we use reputable suppliers that provide quality materials. GD&C believes that the correct choice of materials adds to the life of the project. We put quality labor into our jobs and by using the appropriate materials you can expect the best value.

Are we involved in our community?

GD&C believes in paying it forward. We seek ways to be involved in our community. Steve Gregory served on the board of directors for 3 years with the Washington State Painting and Decorating Contractors of America and 6 years with the Construction Industry Training Council. Steve actively serves the Edmonds community working with the Alderwood Terrace Rotary Club. Chris Dill served on the board for of Northwest Art Center in Duvall for two years. GD&C contributes to fund-raising auctions and loves to sponsor community events. GD&C are proud members of the Duvall Chamber of Commerce.
